Albert F. Kasper, President, Firearms
Al Kasper is President of Firearms for Vista Outdoor Inc. The company is a leading global designer, manufacturer and marketer in the growing outdoor sports and recreation markets. Vista Outdoor operates in two segments, Shooting Sports and Outdoor Products, and has well-recognized brands that provide consumers with a range of performance-driven, high-quality and innovative products.
He previously served as Vice President of Firearms for Vista Outdoor.
From 2001 to 2013, Al served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Savage Sports Corporation, prior to ATK’s 2013 acquisition of Caliber Company (parent company of Savage). The Savage portfolio includes hunting and sporting firearms, shooting ranges, shoot houses and targeting systems.
He joined Savage in 1996 as its Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Al has led the company’s manufacturing initiatives, including process improvements, LEAN initiatives, and technology and operational systems development. Prior to joining Savage, Al worked as a Group Controller and Operations Manager for The Conair Group, Inc. in Pittsburgh and an Operations Manager for divisions of Danaher and United Technologies Corporation.
He received an MBA from the University of Massachusetts and a B.S. in Accounting from Western New England College.
Al currently serves on the board of several for-profit companies (Weiler Corp., Pet Edge Inc., W.F. Young, Inc. and Bowtech, Inc.) and non-profit companies (Junior Achievement and The East Longmeadow Educational Endowment). Al has been teaching Entrepreneurship at East Longmeadow High School for the past 12 years and is an adjunct professor, teaching several courses in the Elms College MBA program.
