CCI-Speer Competes to Feed Thousands

In April, CCI-Speer participated in a fundraiser for its local food bank, the Idaho Food Bank.

Departments at the plant dictated teams, so primers, rimfire, centerfire and ops/support had a chance to compete for bragging rights.

Primers took the lead by a long shot, and together the crew raised over $2,000. After a match of $1,000 from the company, the final amount raised was over $3,000: a total of nearly 12,500 meals to feed people in the area.

In addition, Belva Berghammer, Jen Bogar, Stacey Adair, Ward Parker, Doug Lenz, Brody Genzer, Mike Overberg formed a team to volunteer at the food bank.

“It was fun for the folks on the floor to come together as a team to raise money for a good cause,” said Katie Rigby, Print Shop Coordinator at CCI-Speer. “I’m really proud of our teams!”
