Golf Event Raises $12,500 for Local Charity

Federal’s annual Golf Tech Open was held at Bunker Hills Golf Course near Federal’s Anoka, Minnesota facility in early September. Thanks to employees, vendors and a generous anonymous donation, this year’s event raised $12,500 for the Minnesota Military Family Foundation (MMFF).

MMFF is a 100% volunteer charity founded in 2004. It is made up of 10 volunteer board members who provide emergency financial assistance grants to our Minnesota active duty, reserve, and National Guard soldiers and their families in financial crisis. Grants on average are approved in 2.5 hours, and checks are mailed directly to the soldier’s creditor(s) to ensure their financial crisis is resolved. Administrative costs are between 1.5 and 2.5 cents per dollar received and since 2004 the MMFF has funded over 2,000 grants totaling more than $4.5 million. Learn more about the MMFF
