A Better Together story from Idaho. CCI/Speer’s environmental department challenged employees to clean up grounds around the Lewiston, Idaho facility in honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Employees paid extra attention to debris around the plant, using their breaks and lunchtimes for cleanup. The outcome: higher traffic areas were noticeably cleaner. The hidden corners and beside buildings had the largest amount of garbage, due to the wind. Items most found for cleanup: ear plugs and cardboard.
Shout out to Kent Pomerinke, Primer VS Grounds Administrator, who walks the Southport plant every day picking up around the grounds making that area a quick cleanup.
