First Report of Employee with Presumptive Positive for COVID-19

We learned yesterday an employee within our Rantoul, IL family is under quarantine for COVID-19 symptoms and a presumptive positive test. We contacted the local health department and the employee is consulting their health care provider.

We communicated directly with employees at the location and closed the facility swiftly on April 2, 2020 upon learning the news. The facility will remain closed until a third-party professional cleaning service performs a deep-clean and full sanitization of the entire facility, in accordance with CDC guidelines.

The Rantoul facility distributes critical safety and military products and has been operational during the COVID-19 crisis. The employee has been self-quarantined since Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Prior to the self-quarantine, the employee, as all employees have been directed to do, performed official duties in a way that put the employee six-feet (or more) from other colleagues, consistent with CDC social distancing guidelines.

We are in close contact with our Rantoul team on remediation and other steps required to promote the safety of all employees.

We are saddened that one of our colleagues has potentially contracted the virus and wish them a speedy recovery.  We will stay focused on minimizing spread, protecting employees and returning to our critical business operations.
