Seven recipients earn a $1,000 Learning for Life 2019 Scholarship

Vista Outdoor is proud to announce recipients of the 2019 Learning for Life Scholarship. The seven $1,000 scholarship awards go to the following students:

Jordan Fritch, daughter of Gwen Dow and Jim Fritch
Jordan attends the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Major: Animal Science

Jordan is involved in the Pre-Vet club on campus. She works on research farms at school and volunteers at university hospitals and was recently inducted into one of the honor societies.

Blazie Gilder, daughter of James Glider and Lisa Galster-Gilder
Blazie plans to attend the University of Idaho Major: Medical Sciences

Blazie Recently graduated from Troy High School as valedictorian of her class with a 4.0 cumulative GPA. She participated in varsity basketball, softball, and cross country in high school and a variety of extracurricular activities and community service projects. She has a goal of becoming a Pediatric Oncologist at a local hospital to help members of our community lead happy and healthy lives.

Molly Kelvington, daughter of Brian and Mari Kelvington
Molly will begin her education at Augustana University in Sioux Falls South Dakota in the fall of 2019. Major: Biology.

Molly was a member of her high school National Honor Society and graduated with honors. She participated in volleyball, basketball and golf each year of high school. She was a captain in each sport and was all conference in golf, participating in the state meet with her team the past four years

Robert Knight, son of Robert and Amy Gates
Robert will attend University of South Carolina – Columbia Major: International Business Robert is was a Silver Fox recipient at his high school, was an honor student and graduated top 10% of his high school class. During this time, he completed more than 20 hours of dual enrollment college courses.

Hannah Lancaster, daughter of Clint and Alana Lancaster
Hannah is attending Holmes Community College and plans to earn a degree in biology.

Hannah has been on the President’s List both semesters of my freshmen year of college and earned a 4.0 GPA at Holmes Community College spring semester.

Sydney LeMay, daughter of Shawn and Diane LeMay
Sydney is attending the University of Minnesota – Duluth and majoring in Social Studies Education.

Sydney has earned a spot on the Dean’s List. She is a History Day Mentor and a recipient of Leilla L. McIntire Scholarship and Education Faculty Diversity Scholarship.

Liam Nester, son of Charles Nester, Cathey Egan
Liam plans to attend Texas A&M University-Texarkana with a major in Political Science.

Liam is the recipient of Monday Morning Quarterback Club and Woodmen of the World. He graduated high school with honors.
