The State of Utah convened land managers, policy makers, trade associations, media and outdoor businesses for an outdoor recreation summit at iconic Snowbird Ski Resort. Utah-based Camp Chef and the Giro Snow Sports teams attended and were represented well during the event.
Vista Outdoor was the title sponsor of this annual event.
Amanda Covington, Vista Outdoor Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Government Relations, kicked off the keynote panel discussion regarding policy threats and opportunities to outdoor recreation at the state and federal levels. Among the topics discussed were wildfire funding, access, and support for the policy of keeping public lands in public hands.
Covington also attended an event with Congresswoman Mia Love and presented legislative priorities for Vista Outdoor and our brands.
Covington and the Vista Outdoor family of brands have become a mainstay in Utah policy and political circles. Vista Outdoor was the title sponsor of the summit and will also sponsor the upcoming Rural Outdoor Summit in October, where VP of Government Relations, Fred Ferguson, will moderate the keynote panel on protecting public lands.
