Vista Outdoor Dominates Industry Shoot Out

A team of shooters from Vista Outdoor took the top team prize at the two-day Congressional Sportsmen Foundation Industry (CSF) and Congressional Shootout.

The team of Forest Wilson (Shooting Sports Manufacturing Engineer Manager), Drew Goodlin (Strategic Development of Ammunition and Energetic Systems), and Bill Mackleit (Senior Director of Operations for CCI/Speer) won First Place in the Industry and Congressional Challenge by a wide margin in sporting clay, skeet, and trap competitions.

The team was led by Wilson’s hot hand. Wilson twice won the “Top Gun” award given to the top individual all-around performer. Goodlin earned Top Sporting Clay and Top Trap (Day 1) and Mackelit Top Trap on Day 2.

This is the second straight year that Vista Outdoor has taken the top prize at the CSF Industry and Congressional Challenge. Vista Outdoor was a Title Sponsor of the event, and Federal Premium provided ammunition at each shooting station.

CSF’s mission is to work with Congress, governors and state legislatures to protect and advance hunting and recreational shooting. Vista Outdoor’s VP of Government Relations, Fred Ferguson, helped coordinate the event with CSF and shot alongside Members of Congress and their staff members.
