Vista Outdoor received the Top Revenue Growth Award for 2016 from Mountain West Capital Network (MWCN) at its 22nd Annual Utah 100 Awards Program event held in Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 17.
Scott Chaplin, General Counsel for Vista Outdoor, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Scott explains the rich history of Vista Outdoor, “We are a relatively new company, just eighteen months old, but our background is robust. When we spun off our sporting portfolio, we decided to relocate and determined that Utah was the right location, not only for the company but the state would support our company mission of Bringing the World Outside,” Scott explains. “After we had spun off, we acquired Jimmy Styks, a paddleboard company; then CamelBak, a hydration company; followed by BGI, more commonly known as Bell/Giro. Most recently, we acquired Camp Chef, a local Utah company out of Logan, and we will continue to grow. Thank you for this award.”
MWCN is Utah’s first and largest business networking organization devoted to supporting the entrepreneurial success of Utah’s business owners and professionals. Each year, the event recognizes Utah’s top 100 companies.
