CamelBak employees believe that thanks and obligations to American troops extend beyond the equipment they make. A 2012 Veterans Administration Suicide Data Report showed an average of 22 veterans were killed by suicide every day.
CamelBak wanted to help deliver more support services to veterans, so they challenged employees to the #22Pushup Challenge benefiting 22KILL, an organization that raises awareness for suicide prevention and educates the public on mental health issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Employees challenged each other to knock out 22 push-ups at a time.
CamelBak employees completed 6,730 push-ups during the week-long #22Pushup Challenge. CamelBak donated $200 for each employee who completed the challenge, giving a total of $22,000 to 22KILL.
