Vista Outdoor Employees Volunteer to Help Feed My Starving Children

On Saturday, Dec. 5, 25 employees, friends and family from the Distribution Center in Anoka, Minnesota volunteered two hours of their day to pack food at Feed My Starving Children®, a non-profit organization committed to feeding children hungry in body and spirit. The organization’s approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and the meals are shipped to 70 countries around the world.

The team from Anoka was a mix of veterans and first-time volunteers, but without a doubt, everyone left feeling great about the experience.

By the end of the two-hour shift, they had packed 32 cases of “Manna Pack” rice.  Each case holds 216 meals.  Said another way, the team packed enough food to feed 19 starving and malnourished children for a year.

The Distribution team is already talking about doing this again in the near future.
